（１）(i)再び適用する／(ii)再び志願・申請する ここは(ii)の自動詞の意味です。 参考までに…岩波大英和にはなく Genius にはありました。 （２）造語と言えば造語です。接頭辞がついたものははじめは全部造語です。ただそれが定着するかどうかです。reapply について言えば、辞書によってばらつきがあることからあまり多用されない、比較的新しいということが言えます。これは質問者さんの考える「造語」ではないでしょう。 （３）辞書にない単語でも新たに作ることができますが何事もやり過ぎはいけません。 接頭辞・接尾辞をつけるときはその意味が一般に理解される意味であることが必要です。 re- の意味を調べると「反復／後ろ／退く／互いに／再び」というようにたくさんの意味があります。このうち今でも造語力のあるのは「再び」だけです（この意味のときは第２アクセントを持ち [ri:] と発音されますが文字ではもちろん分かりません）。「相互に叩く」というつもりで *rebeat などと書いても「再び叩く」としか理解されません。 一時的な造語（臨時語 nonce words）は作らずとも別の表現で表せるものです。にもかかわらず作るということはそれなりの効果を狙ったものです。受験などでは作るべきではありません。 自分で作ることはなくても目にすることはあるかもしれません。比較的よく見られる、辞書に出ていないものとしては ・re-動詞「再び…する」 ハイフンがつくことも多い。recover/re-cover のように既存の語と区別する場合、re-enter のようにeが連続するときは特に。 ・名詞-like「…のような」 e.g. rose-like, sulfur-like これもあまりなじんでいないものはハイフンをつけることが多い。 ・名詞-wise/ways「…的には」 e.g. techniquewise, salarywise これは略式語とされ多用を嫌う人も多い。かしこまった文では現れにくい。 ・固有名詞-ize, -ify「…のようにする、…様式にする」など。 さらに名詞形 -ization, -fication もあり。 これは完全に臨時語で引用符で囲むこともある。雑誌などの記事では見られるがかしこまった文では見られない。

こんにちは、ご閲覧ありがとうございます。 どの単語とどの単語が、等位接続詞で繋がっているのかということはわかるのですが、 接続詞（例：if、that等)や修飾語(with等）が入っている時に、 それが等位接続詞を共通して修飾しているのかどうかを区別する事が出来ません。 何か一定のルールはありますか？ 例えばですが、 a child swiftly and seemingly without much effort learns to speak and understand. swiftlyとseeminglyが等位接続詞で繋がっていて、 それら２つの単語を共通して修飾するのがwithout much effortだと思っていたのですが、 実際はseeminglyのみを修飾していました。 どうしてseeminglyのみを修飾するのでしょうか。理由が分かりません。 また、別の文章になりますが、 one must be fond of people and trust them if one is not to make a mess of life. be fond of people と trust themが等位接続詞で繋がっていて、 if～はtrust themのみを修飾すると思っていましたが、 実際はbeとtrustの両方を共通して修飾していました。 これも何故でしょうか？

とても詳しいご解説有り難うございます。 接頭辞や接尾辞といったものの定義を詳しく知りませんでしたが、調べたところ、日本語にも新〇〇とか反〇〇といったように存在するのですね。このようなものは文法に当るのでしょうか・・・。あまり大学受験向けの参考書に載っているのを見かけません。なんとなく単語の曖昧な意味だけは分かっていたのですが。
