意味を教えてください
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here than a whole truck load when I'm gone . のa whole truck以降の意味がよくわからないのですが、 教えてください。 よろしくお願いします。

いまここで、一本のバラと 友達からの優しい言葉を もらう方が 私がいなくなった後で トラックまるまる1台分の積荷（＝バラ？）を もらうよりいい

ご回答ありがとうございます。 a whole truck load は I'm here との比較で、while I'm on a whole truck load のことだと解釈したらよいのですか。 a whole truck loadのwholeはここでは、「自分がここを去って、これから歩く（トラックが走るような）路上の全過程のどこかでバラをもらうよりは」ととったらいいのですか。 お手数ですがどうかよろしくお願いします。

would rather ～ than という表現で質問があります。 「嘘をつくよりはむしろ何も言いたくない」は I would rather say nothing than tell a lie. となります。 これがもし過去についてで、 「嘘をつくよりはむしろ何も言いたくなかった」としたければ I would rather have said nothing thanのあとは have told a lie でしょうか。 それとも tell a lieやtold（過去形） a lieなどでしょうか。 そもそも実際はこのような回りくどい表現などは使いませんか？ I prefered saying nothing to telling a lie. だとスマートですが、今から後悔しているwould ratherと過去の感情であるpreferedではニュアンスに違いがあるかと思い困っています。

Last week, while helping a friend move, I parked on a hill in my small pickup truck with manual transmission. I was a bit nervous about moving it, so my friend offered to back it up for me. She (lightly) hit the car parked in front of mine. We decided that we would split the cost of whatever damages resulted. My father passed away more than 10 years ago rather suddenly. My mother dated a man for a while a few years ago, but she left him because his drinking was out of control. Her friends are all couples that have been married nearly 40 years, and she loves them, but she often feels like a third wheel (or fifth or seventh).
