補足。 この場合、which の代わりに that を使っても、文法的には間違いではないと思います。ただ、わたしの知っている範囲では、一般にこういう場合、which を使うようです（that を使うことがない訳ではありません）。 that は、指示代名詞の that と紛らわしいのと、It is …… taht というような構文とか、The fact that he comitted a suicide was known to everybody in the town.（かれが自殺したという事実は、その町のすべての人に知られた）というような場合に使います（この場合は、関係代名詞ではありません）。無論、関係代名詞としては、that と which は同じように使えますが、that の方が少し重い感じがします。

下記の英文ですが、前置詞句がどこにかかり、どのように訳せばよいのかが分かりません。 We must accept the good and the bad in ourselves. (2) ...10 or 50 watts, of which one acts... (1)の書き方であればよく分かるのですが、上の文章にあるように(2)の場合ではどうしてこのような並びになっているのかがよく分かりません。(1)と(2)では意味はおそらく同じであると思いますが、違いや使われ方の特徴はあるのでしょうか。お詳しい方、何卒よろしくお願い致します。
