本格翻訳の翻訳精度について

　本格翻訳４GOLDを購入したのですが、翻訳文が自然な日本語になりません。 　例えば、「I Lost My Husband to a Cult. We joined a Personal-growth group to bring us closer.」という文章が、「私は、カルトに私の夫を失った。私達は、より近く私達に持って来るパーソナル成長グループに参加した。」と翻訳されてしまいます。 　これは、このソフトの能力の限界なのでしょうか？値段から言って仕方ないことなのでしょうか？ 　或いは、他のメーカーの翻訳ソフトも皆この程度なのでしょうか？ 　或いは、もっと精度の高い翻訳が出来るソフトは有るのでしょうか？

翻訳精度というのは、翻訳ソフトや翻訳サイトではなく、それらで使われている翻訳エンジンというものに左右されます。翻訳エンジンが一緒の翻訳ソフトや翻訳サイトは同じ翻訳をしてくれるわけです。 翻訳ソフトの値段は、翻訳のプロが使える機能がるかどうか（例えば、辞書への単語登録、過去の翻訳資産の再活用）の違いで異なっていて、精度自体は同じです。 国産の翻訳エンジンを作っている会社は、大手では東芝、富士通、IBM、NECがあり、それぞれ異なった翻訳ソフトや翻訳サイトで使われています。 私個人の印象としては、 1stランク：富士通、東芝 2ndランク：IBM、NEC という感じなので、富士通または東芝をお試しするのをお勧めします。 富士通の翻訳エンジンはエキサイトで使われています。 http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/ 東芝の翻訳エンジンは@niftyで使われています。 http://www.nifty.com/globalgate/?top5

　回答有難う御座います。 　私も、あれから色々と調べ、「こりゃ、英和！一発翻訳」というのが良いとの情報を得て、使ってみましたが、もう一つでした。 　どうにも、満足できないので、「もう一つ別のソフトを」と考えていた所です。 　早速、富士通or東芝の翻訳エンジンを使ったソフトを検討したいと思います。

No.2です。 続きを書きます。 日本は、政府が総力を上げて[日本語⇔エスペラント語]翻訳に注力すべきでしょう。 また米国も同様に[英語⇔エスペラント語]翻訳に注力すべきです。 各国が自国語とエスペラント語の翻訳システムを構築すれば、これはもう、とても喜ばしいことで、[日本語⇔韓国語]翻訳ソフトとか、[日本語⇔中国語]翻訳ソフトなど雑多な翻訳ソフトを用意する必要はなくなります。

本格的な翻訳ソフトはあるのですが、用途は限定されています。 例えば「科学技術文献」の翻訳に限定したもの、「取引文書」の翻訳に限定したもの…と、たくさんあります。しかも非常に高価で、一般人には高嶺の花です。 オールマイティな翻訳は無理でしょうけど、「こう言う場合はこんな手順で翻訳するんだよ」と翻訳ソフトを調教すれば、長い間にはお好みの翻訳文を提示してきます。 購入したての翻訳ソフトはまだ赤ちゃんの状態ですから、単語の羅列に近いものしか表現できません。これに「てにおは」を仕込んでやる必要があります。 例えば、"…so……that…"構文の訳順などです。 すると、購入者側もある程度英語に熟達している必要がでてきます。 翻訳ソフトは、翻訳家が翻訳作業を効率化するときにはとても便利にできています。 私は翻訳ソフトの評価をしたことがありますが、評価メンバーは全員が英語を得意とする者ばかりでした。結果的には日本語→英語翻訳の方が成績はいいのですが、英語的な日本語表現にしないと、まともな翻訳はできないし、翻訳文に手を入れるときに英語の知識が必要になる、という評価結果に落ち着きました。

　早々の回答、有難う御座います。返事が遅くなり、申し訳ありません。 　高い金を出せば、もう少し精度の高い翻訳ソフトも有るということですね。 　「非常に高価」というと、いくら位なんでしょうか？数十万円ぐらい？それとも数百万円？ 　10万や20万円ぐらいなら、ボーナスで買うという手も有りますが、数百万円などとなるとちょっと手が出ないですね。 　兎も角、「調教」「仕込」と言われても、具体的に何をして良いのか解からず、スキルも無いので、もう少し別のソフトを探してみることにします。 　有難う御座いました。
