thimbleのここでの意味を教えてください。
早口ことばなのですが、 They both, though, have thirty-three thick thimbles to thaw. 「溶かすべき板金」と解釈してよいのでしょうか？他の解釈があればお願いします。

たびたびすみません。ちょっと誤解があるようですので・・・。布製のものでも全然ＯＫだと思いますよ。僕のイメージでは、指ぬきがコチコチに凍り付いているので、あたためて解かしてやらなきゃ、それも33個も！みたいな感じです。thaw は雪や氷が凍てつきからほぐれていく、といった意味なので、melt とは違うと思いますよ。「解ける」と「溶ける」も違うと思いますのでご注意を。

私も toko さんに同じく「指ぬき」かなと思います。 thaw は凍っていたものをあたためて解かす、といった感じのようですね。 「指ぬき」を解かすって、何のことかと思ってしまいますが、twister は音が主役のことばあそびなので、けっこうナンセンスなものが多いと思いますよ。以下、遊びっぽく訳してみましたので、ご参考にしていただければ幸い。 ふたりがふたりふたりとも、さりともなにがあろうとも、十(とお)がみっつにまたみっつ、ごっつい指ぬきふたりして、あったかくしてあたためて解かしてやらねばなりませぬ。

こんにちは thimble と言ってすぐ思い浮かべるのは 女性が裁縫をするときに指にはめる「指ぬき」(シンブル） ですが、文脈に合いませんか？
