1.「XXXX I saw her standing there」のXXXXの部分は、when です。 2. 「Now you're mine, my happiness XXXX makes me cry」のxxxxの部分は、dear です。 少なくともオリジナル・ヴァージョンの「Please please me」に収録されている歌詞は聴いたみた限り上記の通りだと思います。

the way she looked was way beyond compare は、ビートルズの I saw her standing there と言う曲の一文なのですが。訳文を探してみると、「彼女ときたら、とびきりのいい女。」「彼女、めちゃ比べものにならない程素敵だった。」などと訳してあります。私には、どうしてこうゆう訳になるのか分かりません。教えてください。

「There was no vacant seat in the car, so I stood all the way.」 の分詞構文がなぜ 「There being no vacant seat in the car, I stood all the way.」 になるのかがわかりません。 「When she saw me, she smiled brightly.」 という文を 「seeing me, she smiled brightly.」 のように接続詞がある側の文を分詞構文を用いて 「There was no vacant seat in the car, I standing all the way.」 とするのではないのでしょうか？

以前にも質問させていただいたのですが、納得できるような回答が得られなかったので再度質問させていただきます。 M-floとAlexのコラボ曲の英語の歌詞なのですが、アレックスが歌っている部分でどうしても聞き取れない箇所があるので、分かる方お願いします！！！ 聞き取れない場所は下記の下線を引いている部分になります。以前は「silly lady」と言っているのでは？との回答をいただいたのですが、何度聞いてもそのようには聞こえなくて・・・。ちなみにこの曲の該当部分は、元々韓国語で歌われている為、歌詞を検索して調べることができません。分かる方、本当に困っているので、よろしくお願いします！！！ ＿＿＿＿＿ got my eye saw you gotta make you stay all night tonight but i know that you can keep me now ＿＿＿＿＿ i'll show you tonight

早速の回答ありがとうございます。 １はwhen、とのこと。私も、どちらかというとwhenかなぁ・・・という気が していたので、安心しました。意味的にもやはりwhenがしっくりきます。 ほとんど「ン」としか聴こえないんですけどね。 ２はdear、ですね。 これは弱い「イ」の音しか聞こえなくて、どちらだか全く判別がつきませんでした。 ただ、ここにdearが入るとどういう意味になるんでしょう？ "you"を指す呼びかけなのでしょうか。あるいはmakeにかかる副詞と考えると、 「かわいがって／大事に」「高価に（で）」？？ それとも、イギリスだけで通じる特殊な意味があるのでしょうか・・・。
