ということでしょうか？

うまく解釈でません。

1．決まり文句
　We are what we ~ 「我々は、我々が～するものだ」という言い方があります。例えば　We are what we eat　(下記）我々は、我々が食べるものだ」＞　我々は何を食うかで決まる、です。

　ここは読飛ばして下さってもいいのですが、これには多少の紆余曲折があります。
