添削希望
Your messages always make me cheer up and calm down. 細かいことですが、message は単数のほうがいいのでしょうか？ 添削と合わせてご教示下さいませ。

１。Your messages always cheer me up and calm me down. cheer は、下記のように他動詞で、cheer up と言う句動詞もあります。もちろん質問者さんの原文でも通じます。 http://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=cheer ２。細かいことですが、message は単数のほうがいいのでしょうか？ 細かいことではありません、受け取ったメッセージが一通なら単数、二通以上なら複数と決まっていて、英語の文法の問題ではなく事情次第です。１では原文通り複数にしました。 always をお使いになるなら当然複数になります。単数でしたら Your message cheers me up and calms me down.

"messages" と複数にした方が良いと思います。 Your messages always cheer me up as well as provide me peace of mind. 「あなたのメッセージは常に私を元気づけるとともに、私の心に安らぎをもたらします。」
