might have 過去分詞は過去の推量とも、仮定法過去完了とも取れます。 同じ英語になるのは英語の限界です。 been の後に補語が省略されているとも考えられますが、 前後を見ても見当たらないので、「存在する」の意味でしょう。 もし中絶していなかったら、「何が、いや、誰が」「どんなものが、いや、人が」 存在していたことだろうか。 中絶せず生まれていたら、今頃どうなっていたことだろうか？ ということで、赤ん坊だからもの的、あるいは中絶してこの世に生まれてこなかったから なのか、いったん what としておいて、who と言い直している、列挙しているのでしょう。 過去の推量でも仮定法でも「どうなっていたことだろう」とすれば大きな差はありません。 現実として中絶して生まれてこなかったが、もし生まれてきたら、ということがわかっていれば 仮定法ということにはなります。
