Novelist ,whether they admit it or not, present judgments about life that they want their reders to accept. では、judgment に、about life と that they want their,,,がかかっています。 しかし私は life に that they want their,, がかかっているのかと思いました。

I know the woman who is singing over there. Novelists ,whether they admit it or not, present "judgments about life" that they want their readers to accept. Novelists ,whether they admit it or not, present judgments about "life that they want their readers to accept".

novelist → novelists まず、judgments about life that they want their readers to acceptのthat節がjudgmentsを修飾するというのは、ごく当たり前の形容詞節の使い方です。 judgments that they want their readers to accept about life このように書くと、明らかにabout lifeはpresent judgmentsのところにかかるのではなく、they want their readers to accept [judgments]のjudgmentsだけにかかるように見えます。 they want their readers to accept judgments なのか 読者に受け入れてもらいたい判断・見識 they want their readers to accept lifeなのか 読者に受け入れてもらいたい人生・生涯 lifeをacceptするというのは、この文脈では妙なことです。

People who delay might base their self-worth on their work and doubt their abilities. The thinking goes like this: to avoid a judgment of themselves that could be damaging to their self worth, they just avoid completing the task. となるのですが、どうもto avoid a judgment of themselves that could be damaging to their self worth, they just avoid completing the task.
