Is it logical that ~?「~ということは理にかなったことだろうか?」 that 以下は S be expected to ~「S は~すると予想される」 be afraid of ~「~を恐れる」 the work を先行詞として that 以下が説明。 the person who I thought was your father「私が,あなたの父親だと思った人」 のパターン。 関係詞 who は I thought をとばして was に対する主格。 the work that they feel they were put on this Earth to do で 「彼らがこの地球上に(それを)するために,この地球上に置かれた, と自分たちが感じている,そういう仕事」 この「~するために」の部分について the work という先行詞があてはまります。

Is it logical that anybody should be expectedto be afraid of the work that they feel they were put on this Earth to do. ... the work (that they feel) they were put on this Earth to do.は、 the workがthey were put on this Earth to doの先行詞となっています。

また、That it should~ ...is. That it should ~ ... is (a problem). [http://balconybanter.blogspot.com/2017/03/the-bitter-sweet-candy-of-nostalgia.html] Being nostalgic is not a problem. That it should be accompanied with a sense of loss....is. As the years roll by, we turn more cynical about the present. But, what do I really miss? Is it the past? Is it the people? Is it the place? The truth is, I miss myself....myself connected to that cocoon. I miss the younger-me, the dreamer-me, the hopeful-me. I miss that believer-me, that child-in-me.
