関係代名詞　先行詞が　主語の場合教えてください

参考書を見ていたらこんな分が出てきました ＴＨＥ　river　which　run　through　ＬＯＮＤＯＮ　is　the　thames。 この分のように　主語が　先行詞になる場合は　どのように　2つの分にしたら良いのでしょうか？ また ＴＨＥ　reason　why　mammothｓ　died　out　is　a　mystery。 この分も2つに分けると　どう　なりますか？ 私が　やると　ＴＨＥ　river　run　through　LONDON。 THE　river　is　the　themes。 ＭＡＭＭＯＴＨＳ　died　out　the　reason。（このときは　for　必要ですか　whyのときは 全てに　forをつけるんですか？） ＴＨＥ　reason　is　a　mystery。 誰か教えてください kenzwi　60歳

>ＴＨＥ　river　which　run　through　ＬＯＮＤＯＮ　is　the　thames。 　A river runs through London.　（runは過去形ではないでしょうから、三単現にしています） 「川がロンドンを通って流れています。」 　That/The river is the Thames.　（That/Theどちらでもいいですが、A riverを指しています） 「その川はテムズ川です。」 >ＴＨＥ　reason　why　mammothｓ　died　out　is　a　mystery。 　Mammoths died out for a/some reason.　（aよりsomeのほうが自然かもしれません） 「マンモスは、ある理由のために絶滅しました。」 　または、 　There is a/some/the reason why mammonths died out.　（why節があるので、theでもOK） 「マンモスが絶滅した理由があります。」 　That/The reason is a mystery. 「その理由は謎です。」 　こういう分け方でもいいと思います。someは「幾つか」ではなく「ある」といった感じで単数でもOKです。これは明言を避けるニュアンスがあります。ちなみに、分かっていて言いたくない時は、a certainを使います。
