月のpersonality って何でしょうか。
personality というと個人、性格、人柄等々なのですが、どれも下の文章には当てはまらない気がして、困っています。 The Moon is a part of the personality that always wants to know its position. これに続く文は、「一方で、おひつじ座は、絶えず変化する12星座の一部です」です。 personalityを次のように「天体」と訳して良いものか？？？ 「月は、絶えず自分の位置を確認したがる天体です」 それとも、なにか特別な天体用語なのでしょうか？ よろしくお願いします。

“personality”の語源は “pelsona”＝「仮面」(ラテン語) であると聞きました。 何か関係があるかも知れませんね。 曖昧で、直接的な答えでなくて、すみません。

この文は占星術に関するものではないでしょうか。 それだと「月は、絶えず自分の位置を確認したがる性格に関わります」で意味が通るように思います。

ご回答をありがとうございました。 ご指摘のとおり占星術師が登場する小説の一部です。 質問の文の次の文章に「～12星座の一部」と言う箇所があったので、これに対応するような意味が personalityに実はあるのかも、と思ったのですが。。。 やっぱり、「性格」ですかね。 参考になりました。 どうもありがとうございました。
