シギの鳴き声を描写した部分です。 Suddenly out of the sky we heard a sound like a kid bleating in the emptiness over our heads. Or it was like a harp-string that has been touched and left to vibrate in B flat. More like a kid than a harp-string perhaps, because it was like nothing human or aught from the hand of man. ハープより子供の泣き声のようだと言っていると思うのですが、その理由として人間のようではなく、人の手のなしたものではないからという部分がよく納得できません。前後に解釈に関わる文章なないと思います。 よろしくアドバイスをお願いいたします。

私は、アメリカの人とメールをやりとりしていて もらったメールの文章に、 「I've never heard of Gandam00 is it like Gundum destiny or Gundum z. I havn't seen any gundum in a long time. but I have heard of black lagoon, just have never seen it. and Ookamitokousinryou I've never heard of it.」 という文があるのですが、 私が考えた日本語の意味では、 「Gandam00は一度も聞いたことがない、どのgundumも長い間 見ていなかった。しかし、black lagoonは聞いた事がある Ookamitokousinryouは一度も聞いたことがない」 と考えたのですが最初の文のlikeがどんな働きをするのか わかりませんでした。 （like=好き、～のよう というのはわかります。） likeの前に関係代名詞か何かが隠れているのでしょうか。 それ以外にも 「I love anime's like Trinity blood, hellsing, Azumanga daioh」 のようにこの人の文章にはlikeが多く出てくるのですが likeの前と後の文をどうつなげたらよいのでしょうか。 またjust have never seen itはそれは決して見なかった という意味だと思うのですが just＝ちょうど と、never＝決して～ない では、意味が合わないと思いました。 熟語なのでしょうか。 どなたか、教えていただければ ありがたく思います。 よろしくお願い致します。

こんにちは。お世話になります。 英語初学者です。 題名にも有りますように、look likeとbe like、lookの違いがよく分りません。 今、読んでいる本で、主人公が小人になり、部屋に置いてあるおもちゃの家に気づき、眺める場面で、 このような描写が有りました。 They looked at the house. It looked a big house. この文を読んだときは、おぼろげながらに意味をとったのですが、別の場面で、 今度は主人公が庭の草むらに入った場面で、 The children were in the grass and everything looked big. The grass was like a jungle. という描写をみるにあたり、look likeとbe like、lookの違いがさっぱり分からなくなってしまいました。 また、別の場面、こんどは主人公が恐竜の世界に迷い込んだ場面で、 It’s an apatosaurus. Ｉｔ’s like the one in the museum. Ｉｔ won't hurt us. という描写と、別の恐竜にあった場面で Another dinosaur was coming and it looked very fierce. という描写をみるにあたり、すっかり違いがわからず混乱してしまいました。 どのような違いがあるのでしょうか？ どなたか、教えては下さいませんでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いいたします。
