"I'm going to a CD store to buy some albums. What are your favorite albums or songs right now? What do you recommend?" 「おすすめ教えて」を直訳すると "Tell me what you recommend" になりますが、大抵 "what do you recommend?" (何がお勧め？）の方がよく使われます。（少なくともアメリカでは。）

質問者の英語を元に、添削するとすると I am going to a CD shop to buy some albums from now (or this afternoon). What are your favourite albums or songs? Tel me what you recommend. となると思います。 I'm going to a CD shop to check out some albums. Tell me, what are your favs? とか言うと より自然な英語に近い感じですが。。。 fav === favourites

あなたがおすすめのバンド(あなたの国で)を教えてください。 という場合 Please tell me what is your favorite band in your country? で伝わりますか？ お勧めという表現(What is your recommend in your country?)の方が本来の意味に近いでしょうか？ 詳しい方いらっしゃいましたら教えてください。

When I was listenning to music, I came across these words. It was part of the lyrics. The words were said by SEKAINOOWARI. I was moved by them. At the beginning of something, something ends.
