欧米人は、親しい間柄では、姓ではなく、名で呼び合い、更には、 愛称で呼び合うのが普通です。必ず「名」を聞かれ、また、「名」 でお互いに呼びかけて欲しい、呼びかけたいと思ってます。 日本人ですと、「姓」に「さん」を付ければ全て事足り、普通は 「姓」のみであって、「名」で呼んだら夫婦か恋人の関係になって しまいます。 この感覚の差から言えば、He, She では、呼ばれた方はやはり、 よそよそしい(他人行儀、事務的)感じを持ってしまうのは頷けます。 が、時と場合によりますので、上手く使い分ける必要が有ると思い ます。 Here is Miss Makiko Tanaka. Miss Tanaka (She) is a teacher. と言うよりも、 ～. Makiko is ～ と言った方が親しみが有って良い場合と、その人が自分の目上の、 偉い人の場合などは、ちょっとくだけ過ぎと言う感があります。 つまり、その人との、お互いの親密度に依るのではないでしょ うか。

高校 英語 合計11問あるのですが… 「問１英語の文の構成要素は5つある。 その５つの要素とは何か。」 参考書を見たのですがS,V,O,Cでは4つですもんね^^;よくわかりません。 「問２ 次 の文に関して構成要素を示しなさい。 1.Birds sing. 2.He opened the window. 3.The man called me a coward. 4.He lent her his car. 5.He became a teacher. 6.Birds sing merrily. 7.He is a brave soldier. 8.She learns English hard. 9.She paid me ten pounds. 10.They named the trip ‘Queen Mary’.」 少々大変なものかもしれませんがおねがいします。

He treated her as if 1 2 a baby. この１、２に入るものを考えよとあるんですが、疑問を抱きました。 まず書き換えとして、He treated her like a baby. ↓ He treated her as if she was a baby ↓（直接法なのか仮定法なのか判断） He treated her as if she had been a baby という手順で書き換えられるのかなあと思ったんですが、 違いました。 疑問 (1)likeの部分を書き換える時に、wasじゃなくてisだろと言われたんですが、過去の話をしているのに、isはおかしいですよね？？ (2)なぜhad beenではいけないんですか？？ 以上２点教えて下さい

ふむふむ。なるほど。 確かに親しい人に事務的な言葉は不自然ですね。 それにしてもどういう表現が自然か不自然かっていうのは難しい！ もっと勉強が必要ですねえ。
