I realized that I was not only making a fool of myself, but that I was destroying all the peace and happiness of our life together. NOT ONLYの構文は特に問題ないと思うので、BUT以下を見てみると but that I was destroying all the peace and happiness of our life together 前提条件として、もちろんthatのまえにはI realized がくるんだけど。この文には等位接続詞andが一つあるので。これを並べて書くと peace I was destroying all the and of our life together happiness まずour lifeはpeace,happiness両方にかかります。理由はこの名詞の前の冠詞theです。 次にtogetherのかかる場所ですが、質問のようにour lifeにかけたければ、our lifeは名詞ですよね？名詞を修飾できるのは形容詞です。 すなわちtogetherが形容詞であれば可能です。でもtogetherは副詞です。だから、togetherは動詞である was destroyingにかけざるをえないわけです。ちなみに形容詞のtogetherもあった記憶がありますが、その場合は、いっしょにという意味にならなかったはずです。 最後に「二人の生活」ととらえるべきでは？とありますが それはour life の ourがその意味を満たしてくれていると思いますよ。 なぜならourは「私＋あなた」または「私＋第三者」ですよね？ この文の前文を見ないとわかりませんが、このour lifeのourは、私と結婚相手（she）をさしているのではないですか？ our life ＝「二人の生活」でいいとおもいますよ。 （訳）私達（二人）の生活における平和と幸福を、もろとも（together）に破壊している

There's been a lot of times though in the band situation where there's been some deep wounds. Like that press conference they put together in 1996, after canceling three shows. The same stuff was going on with certain members of the band, that I was doing at that time. That was that time, I'm not making an excuse for it, it was a horrible time in my life. As well there were a lot of great things going on in my life, but that part of it was miserable. But I don't think at all that there needed to be a press conference to out me publicly, that was my own business.
