building a building でも十分意味は通じます（日本語の感覚でこの表現を何度も使ってしまった経験があります）。 でも、言われるように、ちょっとawkwardです。ネイティブがそうゆう表現をするのを私は聞いたことがありません。 construct a building はいいです。普通は、building のところを具体的に言います。building a house とか building a hospital のように。また build のかわりに put up （建築物によってはassembleも）なども使えます。 後半は、be closed to が成句。 いわゆる「通行止」は、単に CLOSED とかCLOSED TO ALL VEHICLES とかの掲示が道路上にアメリカではでています。 例文の場合は to traffic がなくても意味は同じですが（roadはtrafficのために本来あるものなので）、 be closed to という成句に引かれて、でしょう。

自分で英訳してみたのですがどうでしょうか？アドバイスをいただけると助かります。 私が働いているホテルの隣のビルが解体されているのですが、音がひどく、ホテルのお客から苦情がたくさん届いています。 The building next to the hotel where I work is being taken down. We are getting a lot of complaints from our customers because the construction is making a noise.

ある問題に「この建物には本屋があるよ．」と言うのを英訳する問題で 答えには Here is a bookstore in this building. とありました． 確かに「この建物」と，自分がいるところを指しているのでHere isも使えるかな．と思います． 「ここに」以外の意味のとき，Here is～は使えますか？ また，There is a bookstore in this building.は不正解なのでしょうか？

どうしても分からないので教えてください。 このような例文がありました。 This shop is closed on Sundays. 受け身の文なので、それを疑問文にした場合は、Is this shop closed? ですよね？ さらに日時を知りたい場合はWH疑問文にして、 What time is this shop closed? もしくは When is this shop closed? だと思っていたのですが、辞書などで調べてみると、 What time does this shop close? もしくは When does this shop close? となっていました。 受け身はどこに行ってしまったのでしょうか。英語初心者の私に、なぜこのようになるのか教えてください。

最初の、「実際、」はわかりますが、最後になぜ「秋」という単語があるのか分かりません。訳していて混乱しました。２０階建ての建物からどうのこうの、パラシュートがどうのこうの、一部分しか理解できず単語を一通り調べましたが訳し方が難しいです。英訳お願いします。 In fact,I`ve heard that a cat once survived after it fell from a 20-story building.When we fall,our body turns to a feet-down position.We can spread our four legs like a parachute and this slows the fall.
