もう来る必要もなかったかもしれませんが、また来ました。 ２番目の文の訳が#2の方の滅茶苦茶なものしか無かったように錯覚してしまったので、 #6で回答したのですが、私自身スカタン回答してしまいました。ｍ（＿ ＿）ｍ 実際にはpetuniaさんのしっかりした回答があったので、お邪魔することはなかったん ですけれどね。 一応訂正しておきます。 飛行機乗りたちのように大地の上へと飛び立つことさえできたなら、 どんなにすばらしい眺めを手に入れられるだろうか。 riseは飛んで移動する意味ではなく、飛んで高い所へ上ることですね。 同時代の文章のように錯覚していたので、何で仮定法なんだと思いましたが、一般の 人が飛行機に乗れなかった時代の文章なのですね。（現代の旅客機でも、すばらしい 眺めを手に入れられているかどうかは疑問ですが。） boinmasterさん、ポイントはartist0さんとpetuniaさんにあげてください。
