歌舞伎の説明文の英訳
歌舞伎の語源を説明する文で、「かぶき」の語源は「かぶく」（常軌をはずれることの意）で、「...等の人を『かぶく』者といったのです。」とあるのですが、この「かぶくもの」のところがうまく訳せません。 どなたかお知恵を貸してください。 Someone who (did this or did that) was called ... という形にしたいと考えていますが、他の形のほうがすっきりするならそれでもかまいません。 よろしくお願いします。

People called them Ka-Bu-Ku- ┃guys boys fellows┃ who were ┃attractively noticeably visibly┃ dressed in ┃abnormaly, crazy, unusualy┃ and curiosly, or who were of outlaw and rambo.

an eccentric person という訳を真っ先に思いつきましたが、適切ではないでしょうか？ 提示された文型に当てはめるならば、 Someone who behaves in an eccentric fashion（奇矯な振る舞いをする者） というのが「傾き者」のニュアンスに近いかと思いますが…。
補足
ごめんなさい、説明不足でした。 原文は、「人目を引く異風な服装をした者、また乱暴、狼藉などの行為をする者を『かぶく』者と言ったのです。」なので、英文の方は Someone with striking or odd outfit, or someone who is violent or cause havoc are called ... としたいのです。 with ～ havocのところは、つまり"who behaves in an eccentric fashion"なのですが、その後の部分で、日本語の「かぶく」という言葉がこんな風に使われているよというのを説明したいわけです。 ややこしい言い方ですみません。

Those people would give up what to think responsibly and want to feel at ease by trusting someone. I think true "trusting" is not that. Trusting someone is being prepared for "it cannot be helped if this person is hopeless" or "I am responsibile if I am betrayed by someone who I trusted". I want to believe in that way.
